Ichendorf Desert Plants pitcher with cactus

The Ichendorf Desert Plants pitcher with cactus by Alessandra Baldereschi is a radiant homage to nature and craftsmanship. Made entirely by hand in borosilicate glass and shaped through lampworking, it transforms the act of pouring water into an art form. Inside its transparent body stands a tiny glass cactus, a poetic detail that evokes the serene beauty of the desert. With a capacity of 1.75 liters, this jug brings a sense of playful refinement to contemporary dining, reflecting Ichendorf’s signature blend of creativity and precision.

Italian craftsmanship and poetic design

This handmade borosilicate pitcher showcases the exceptional skill of artisans who balance transparency, proportion, and detail with expert finesse. Light yet sturdy, it is dishwasher safe at low temperatures (40 °C/104 °F recommended) and made for alimentary use. Available in green/amber and blue variations, the design captures the warmth of sunlight filtered through desert glass, reimagined in liquid form. Its fluid silhouette and sculptural interior make it not just a serving piece but a collectible object that enhances both formal and casual settings.

A dialogue between nature and glass

Part of the enchanting Desert Plants collection, this pitcher complements their designer drinkware, elegant footed plates, and the vibrant creations from the Alessandra Baldereschi x Ichendorf collaboration. Each element of this ecosystem echoes Baldereschi’s fascination with organic forms and her talent for turning them into moments of design poetry. The cactus jug is a reminder of the delicate coexistence between craftsmanship and imagination, a piece where nature’s rhythm meets the transparency of Italian artistry.

Artistic charm for modern tables

Ideal for serving water, fresh juices, or cocktails, this artistic table jug embodies a subtle play between functionality and sculpture. Its presence enlivens any table with a touch of color and light, creating a refined yet whimsical atmosphere. Whether chosen as a design gift or as part of a collector’s set, the Ichendorf Desert pitcher reflects the joy of handmade creation and the excellence of Italian design. Each pour becomes an experience, each reflection a story: a celebration of art, craftsmanship, and everyday beauty.
